Progress and longstanding concepts:

This quickshot of Yashas and a taxi driver made me thinking about traditional and modern aspects of everyday life.

Through one window we see old and new styles of how to dress (whereas the oldschool clothing of the cab driver definitely wins the ‘peeping out underpants contest’ here).

To find our venue both guys are using their mobiles. Sometimes I wonder how people were navigating Indian cities at all before there were cell phones.

We also see a paper notebook surviving the dawn of tablets and pocket-PCs, being independent from USB-power, internet or the google street view car.

Finally the whole scenery takes place in front of a machine for freshly squeezed sugar cane juice, just one of the various refreshments you get on the streets here. In the western world things like that just disappeared for the sake of Coca Cola and Snickers & Co.

Fight, little paper notebook! Defend the streets, giant squeezing machine!
